Taking a Break

Hey, friends; if you've been following my blog, you know I haven't posted much in February. I've logged on to The Masked Evangel several times to blog, but just haven't been able. And even though I may not be posting much for several more weeks, I don't want you to forget me.

Blogging has become an integral part of my ministry. Reading your blogs is like spending a few minutes every morning with some of the greatest ministry minds (and hearts) in the country. What church wouldn't want their pastor to benefit from that kind of mentoring relationship? Writing my own blog allows me to reach beyond the walls of my church. I have connected with brothers and sisters in Christ all over the country. I am still baffled as to how some of you even found me! But I'm glad you did.

Every once in a while I receive an email telling me you're reading, or a face-to-face comment letting me know something I've written has touched your life. Some of you have become my friends through the blogosphere. But whether I've known you for years, or even if you're a new friend, you are cherished. You're part of my life--you've become part of who I am.

Anyway, my family and I are really going to need your prayers and encouragement over the next couple months.

I'll pop in from time to time. And feel free to flash me some traffic via a comment or an email. Before you know it, I'll be blogging regularly once again. God is good, and it may be that I'll be back in the saddle sooner rather than later.

Tim,

You don't know how much you have been on my heart lately. I noticed your blog posts slowing lately. I pray for God's will and favor in the life of you, your ministry and your family.

Lots of love,

Mike Ellis
